The spray dryer with PSD drying machine produced by Jiangsu Xiandao is mainly used for drying of Chinese medicine, food, chemical products and some other material featuring bad heat sensitivity, bad drying performance, low softening point and strong hygroscopicity. This type of dryer uses high speed centrifugal atomizer to disperse materials as mist so that the material can sufficiently contact the hot air. Then it will be dried instantly. Finally, the powder product will be produced.

During the cooperation between Qingdao Haier and JiangSu Xiandao, we developed the spray dryer with PSD drying machine according to the users’ condition.

The problems confronting our customer:

• The powder yield is low because of material adhering on the wall.
• The stay time of the material on the wall is long so that there will be material coking and deterioration.
• It is difficult to clean the equipment which can not meet GMP requirements.
• Low yield: the processing capability of LPG-150 centrifugal spray dryer is only 50-60kg/h feed liquid.

Solutions
By analyzing the practical condition of our customer, JiangSu Xiandao developed a kind of spray dryer with PSD drying machine to solve the problem confronting our customer.

• The inner wall of the drying room adopts rotary air sweeper system to reduce material adhering on the wall so that the material will not be coked.
• The system is equipped with air purging and air cooling system.
• The treating capability of the feed material can be up to 380kg/h.
